JAMB Introduces Digital Pre-Registration App for 2027 UTME — See How It Works

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a National Digital Pre-Registration App (NDPA) ahead of the 2027 UTME. The new system will allow candidates to prepare important registration details from their phones before visiting an accredited CBT centre. Candidates will be able to: check institutions and courses; confirm UTME subject combinations; review admission requirements; verify personal details linked to NIN; check programme eligibility; and prepare their choices before final registration. The app is expected to include JAMB’s IBASS system, helping candidates confirm whether they qualify for their chosen course and institution. How it will work Step 1: Candidate prepares registration details using the NDPA. Step 2: Candidate visits an accredited JAMB CBT centre or Professional Registration Centre. Step 3: Biometrics, verification and final registration are completed at the centre. Candidates should note that the app does not replace physical registration at an accredited centre . JAMB says the new system is designed to reduce mistakes involving wrong courses, institutions and subject combinations. The Board has not yet released the final public download link for the app, so candidates should avoid unofficial links. JAMB has also adjusted the first UTME session, with candidates now expected to arrive around 7:30 a.m. , while the examination is expected to begin at 8:30 a.m. OGB Admission Hub will publish the official NDPA link and full procedure once JAMB activates the platform. www.ogbadmissionhub.com
